City-Specific Guidance for Every Research Hub

Most immigration questions are not generic. The institutions you work at, the research ecosystem around you, and the sponsorship practices in your city all shape the right strategy. These guides are written for specific places.

USIA works with researchers, scientists, and engineers across the major US research and technology centers. Each location guide covers the institutions and employers in that city, the evidentiary patterns that work well for petitions originating there, and the specific visa pathways available.

All four tracked visa categories — O-1A, EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-2 NIW — are covered where pages exist. New cities and international locations are added as content ships.
